Softball Association
1) Player Registration:
Players may now register and play with more than one team within a classification.
For example, a member of one team in a ‘D’ division classified league may register and play for a different ‘D’ division team in another league without penalty. There is no limit to the number of leagues, which a player can legally register and play in. At tournament time, the player is restricted to the roster of one team only.
2) Rule Change - Men’s ‘D’ Division. 2 Fence Clearing Home Runs each additional is an out. All tournament games will include a one and one count when the batter begins his/her turn at bat.
3) Rule Change - Change the maximum height of the pitch from 12 to 10 feet.
4) Umpire & Administrative Fees.
a. Slow Pitch Umpire fee is $30.
b. Fast Pitch and Junior Olympic fee is $40 per game.
c. Tournament Director - fee is $16 per game
d. Umpire In Chief - fee is $12 per game
e. Scorer - fee is $8 per game.
5) Team Application Fee - Team Tournament application fee is $250.
6) ‘E’ Division - is now a national recognized tournament. Players will not be allowed to drop from ‘D’ Division to ‘E’ Division.
7) Wood Bat Tournament - will be held again in Shelton.
8) No Industrial State Tournament - Any team on request will be allowed subject to their meeting state requirement. 12 berths allowed.
9) Qualifying tournament winners will be allowed to enter sectional and state tournaments.
10) All tournament UIC’s must attend the tournament Director’s meeting in June per order of Hank Koritkoski, CTASA Umpire In Chief.
